Candied orange & lemon peel

This candied orange and lemon peel without sugar is used in various other Christmas recipes. But it also tastes very delicious as a small sweet.

Difficulty: easy, preparation 2 days

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large organic orange
  • 1 large organic lemon
  • 100 g Erythrit-Stevia powder
  • 200 ml water

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut peel orange & lemon in vertical segments and then in little cubes
2. Cook in pot of boiling water and then continue cooking at medium temperature for 15 minutes.
3. Now add the Erythrit-Stevia-powder, reduce the heat, for 45 minutes simmer it until is very soft.
4. Now cool it for 8 hours in the pot.
5. Leave them to dry of foil about 1-2 days at room temperature.

Store in an airtight container for 1-2 weeks.
